The North East Group of The National Association of Choirs is currently the largest group within the association with 52 members. We are a very active group with regular Steering Committee Meetings to which all group member choirs are welcome.

We also hold annual choral afternoons and workshops along with a Choral Spectacular every couple of years. Our last Choral Spectacular was on the 24th March 2007 at Newcastle City Hall to tie in with the National Association of Choirs National Conference in Darlington. The concert was compered by Alan Simmons and was recorded by East Allen Recording. CDs are available from member choirs or from Ann Haley (Treasurer) at a price of £6 each.

Each year we also hold a Choral Afternoon Workshop, in 2007 we were lucky enough to have Jill Henderon Wild to run the workshop. In 2006 John Forsythe led our Choral Workshop and in 2005 we were entertained Alan Simmons. These workshops are designed to introduce member choirs to new methods and new pieces of music.
